An acquaintance of mine is in a quest to conquer the world's seven highest peaks. This site is where people can get updated information about his journey. Go for it, Franky, show the world that Indonesians can do it, too!

Last year I participated in 40075km Comics and got two of my stories published in the anthology. Now the same organization, l'employé du Moi, makes another one called GRANDPAPIER, where I also submit my works. Everyone is welcome to join and contribute!

Tigerbeat is a site dedicated to John Taylor, but of course there's more than 'just' John Taylor in there. They offer icons, wallpapers, stats, etc. of Duran Duran for free (non commercial, or personal use only).

Go to the site, and look for Minipops. Scroll down the menu on the right side, and see your favourite bands/ singers/ actors/ cartoon characters/ whatever as minipops. An old stuff, but I still like it. This one is of Madness, definitely in their Baggy Trousers pose.

Dalam Forum Seni Jerman-Indonesia di homepage Goethe-Institut (GI) Jakarta Anda tentu telah sering membaca artikel mengenai salah satu bentuk seni kontemporer yang sangat khusus, komik. Begitu menarik dan dinamisnya bentuk seni ini, sehingga kami dari GI Jakarta pun memutuskan untuk menyelenggarakan suatu lomba komik untuk umum.

Tema
Tema untuk lomba komik ini adalah Kita Main Bola, yuk! Tapi, di Mana? Tema ini harus dapat digambarkan secara kreatif dalam bentuk suatu komik pendek oleh para peserta lomba.

Peserta
Lomba komik ini terbuka untuk umum. Peserta boleh perorangan atau kelompok.

Presentasi Komik-komik Terbaik dalam Forum-Seni
Sebagai bentuk apresiasi dan penghargaan dari kami, komik-komik terbaik hasil pilihan dewan juri akan ditampilkan dalam "Forum-Seni Jerman-Indonesia". Tidak hanya itu, dari komik-komik terbaik ini (bisa keseluruhan komik, namun bisa juga hanya diambil gambar tertentu saja dari suatu komik) akan dibuat pula kartu pos elektronik yang juga bisa diakses melalui Forum Seni.

Pengumuman, Penganugrahan, Hadiah & Pameran
Dewan juri akan memilih 5 komik. Pengumuman dan malam penganugrahan hadiah akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Juni 2006, bertempat di Perpustakaan Goethe-Institut Jakarta. Selain di Perpustakaan, juga telah direncanakan beberapa pameran untuk menampilkan komik-komik ini di daerah-daerah lain di Indonesia.

Batas Terakhir Pengiriman Karya ke Panitia adalah tanggal 10 Mei 2006 (cap pos).

Lambiek's Comiclopedia must have the most comprehensive list of comic artists worldwide (over 7000 names in it!). I am really flattered when they added my name into the list (on January 20th, 2006). It might be an accomplishment for some people; but in my case (who have not yet published any book), I see it as a motive and a challenge: to be more commited in this field. After all, I think it's Lambiek who has been stimulating and nurturing my passion for comics :D

Meskipun tidak di-update terlalu sering, salah seorang pemilik Blog, Joost Pollmann (seorang kolumnis rubrik bertopik cergam untuk de Volkskrant, yang adalah juga direktur Stripdagen Haarlem selama beberapa kali) selalu menampilkan image dan link ke situs2 yg menyimpan koleksi unik.
